Asian Mouse Mutagenesis & Resource Association (AMMRA) and Asian Mouse Phenotyping Consortium (AMPC) Meeting was held at Walter and Eliza Hall Institute (WEHI) of Medical Research in Melbourne, Australia from Feb 20 to Feb 21, 2019. The 2019 AMMRA & AMPC meeting was organized by Dr. Michael Dobbie (AMMRA President and CEO, The Australian Phenomics Network) and Dr. Jim Hennessy (COO, The Australian Phenomics Network). The region’s leading clinicians, biomedical scientists, facility directors and senior executives were attended to the meeting from Australia (Australian National University, University of Queensland, Monash University, and WEHI), China (MARC, Nanjing University, and Institute of Biophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences), Korea (Seoul National University DGIST, and Yonsei University), Taipei (National Laboratory Animal Center, Taiwan Mouse Clinic, and Institute of Molecular Biology), Japan (Riken BRC, and CARD, Kumamoto University), Canada (The Centre for Phenogenomics), and UK (MRC Harwell). The topics of the meeting was new research innovations and technological developments, future research requirements, and strategies to ensure that Asian capabilities for mouse production and phenotyping continue to lead the world. Dr. Toru Takeo (CARD, Kumamoto University) delivered progress report of CARD and a lecture about the latest reproductive technology in mice.
