The 15th Transgenic Technology Meeting (TT2019) was held at Kobe International Conference Center in Kobe, Japan from April 7 to 10, 2019. The TT2019 Meeting was organized by Dr. Yasuhide Furuta (RIKEN BDR). In the meeting, Dr. Lluis Montoliu provided a lecture about transgenesis with large constructsas as the ISTT Prize Awardee.
After the meeting, the TT2019 workshop was held at RIKEN Center for Biosystems Dynamics Research (BDR) from April 11 to 13. Dr. Hiroshi Kiyonari organized the workshop. Fifteen participants attended to the workshop. The workshop included mouse reproductive technology (Dr. Takeo, CARD, Kumamoto University), Zygote electroporation, including GONAD (Dr. Ohtsuka, Tokai University), Manipulation of ova (pre- and post-fertilization) (Dr. Kyogoku, Dr. Kiyonari, RIKEN BDR), Microinjection of Xenopus embryos (Dr. Inomata, RIKEN), and Microinjection of zebrafish embryos (Dr. Phng, RIKEN). In the hand-on workshop of mouse reproductive technology, Dr. Jorge Sztein (CARD, Kumamoto University), Shuuji Tsuchiyam (CARD, Kumamoto University), Ayumi Mukunoki (CARD, Kumamoto University), and Satohiro Nakao (CARD, Kumamoto University) supported the workshop as instructor. It was a fruitful opportunity to share the latest techniques and knowledge of embryo manipulation in mammalian and non-mammalian species. We would like to thank to all participants, staff, sponsors, and ISTT committee. TT2019 Workshop in RIKEN BDR
