Symposium on genetically modified mouse in biomedical science: Reproductive technology and usefulness as a disease model was held on July 5, 2019 at Khon Kaen University in Thailand. There were four lectures: Dr. Takeo, the benefits of reproductive technology in biomedical science, Prof. Okada (Center for Human Retrovirus Infection, Kumamoto University, Japan), application of highly immunocompromised mice for human cancer research, Associate Prof. Jirawatnotai (Mahidol University, Thailand), an acquired vulnerability of CDK4/6 Inhibitor-Resistant cholangiocarcinoma with therapeutic potential, and Dr. Vaeteewoottacharn (Khon Kaen University, Thailand), Patient-derived xenograft model for drug discovery. It was a fruitful symposium to share the latest information about the applications of reproductive technology and disease-model mouse in biomedical science.
